The Keeshond
The Keeshond is a medium sized member of the Spitz family of dogs. Keeshonds are lively, intelligent, alert and affectionate dogs which makes them ideally suitable as a family pet. The Keeshond - pronounced “caze-hawnd” - originates from the Netherlands and is best known as the “Dutch Barge Dog” because for centuries they guarded the barges travelling up and down the canals of Holland. The Keeshond has a double coat which consists of a soft undercoat and a harsh outer coat, despite their glamorous appearance, Keeshonden (the plural of Keeshond) are easy to care for. A little regular grooming will keep your kees looking beautiful all the time
